The EKO Acropolis Rally once again brings the spotlight of global motorsport to Greece.
Between 26 and 29 June, Greece will host the seventh round of the FIA World Rally Championship. For the fifth year running, Lamia will serve as the rally headquarters, with the action unfolding against the stunning backdrop of some of the most challenging and iconic special stages in the championship, spanning four Greek regions.
A rally with a signature identity
On Thursday, 26 June, the ceremonial start will kick off at 17:45, straight away followed by the impressive EKO Athens Super Special Stage at 18:05. This will see the rally cars drive through Zappeion, watched by thousands of spectators and a global TV audience covering hundreds of countries.
Another three days of intense competition will take place, featuring 17 special stages that cover a total of 345.76 competitive kilometres across the following regions:
- Attica: highlighting the stunning super special stage in Athens (SS1)
- Peloponnese: stages at Aghii Theodori (SS2/4) and Loutraki (SS3)
- Central Greece: stages at Thiva (SS5), Stiri (SS6), Elatia (SS7), Pavliani (SS8/11), Karoutes (SS9/12), Inohori (SS10/13), and Tarzan (SS15/17)
- Thessaly: with the Smokovo stage (SS14/16)
Top-level entries
With 69 crews from 31 countries, the EKO Acropolis Rally 2025 attracts top drivers and teams, including four World Champions:
- Thierry NEUVILLE (2024)
- Sebastien OGIER (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021)
- Kalle ROVANPERA (2022, 2023)
- Ott TANAK (2019)
A total of 12 Rally1 specification cars will start – the highest number in the rally’s modern history since its return to WRC in 2021.
- Toyota Gazoo Racing enters 5 GR Yaris Rally1 cars (Evans, Rovanpera, Katsuta, Ogier, Pajari)
- Hyundai Shell Mobis fields 3 i20 N Rally1 cars (Neuville, Tanak, Fourmaux)
- M-Sport Ford enters 4 Puma Rally1 cars (Munster, McErlean, Sesks, Serderidis)
Action at every level
Intense competition is expected in WRC2, with 37 entries using Rally2 cars, including Rossel (Citroen C3), Solberg (Toyota GR Yaris), Greensmith (Skoda Fabia RS) and Solans (Toyota GR Yaris).
The Junior WRC features 9 entries with Ford Fiesta Rally3 cars, with Taylor Gill currently leading the standings.
Greek participation is strong with 11 crews. In addition to Jourdan Serderidis (Ford Puma Rally1), drivers will compete in Rally2, Rally3 and Rally4 cars, including Amoutzas (Skoda Fabia Evo Rally2), Karanikolas (Ford Fiesta Rally2), Plagos (Skoda Fabia RS Rally2), Chalkias (Renault Clio), Delaportas (Ford Fiesta Rally3), Theocharopoulos (Ford Fiesta Rally3), Vasilakis (Ford Fiesta Rally3), Dodos (Renault Clio Rally3), Lefkaditis (Peugeot 208 Rally4) and Kalamaras (Ford Fiesta Rally4).
A global event with a Greek signature
The EKO Acropolis Rally is one of the most iconic rounds of the series, boasting worldwide appeal, millions of viewers, and a strong presence across digital media.
At the same time, the rally harnesses its momentum to enhance its social role through initiatives such as this year’s road safety campaign, 'Slow Down.' The campaign points on the significance of the new 30 km/h speed limit in urban areas, aiming to reduce traffic accidents. Broadcast and digital content conveys the message using relatable, everyday imagery, while the slogan 'Slow Down' is already displayed on trams and metro trains.
Through this initiative, the EKO Acropolis Rally demonstrates that speed only holds significance when paired with responsibility - both on and off the stages.

The Official Programme of the Rally, featuring detailed information for spectators, stage access, and other useful content, is available online at www.acropolisrally.gr as well as:
- from Thursday, June 26 at the Rally Village located around the Athens SSS at Zappeion Megaron,
- at the EKO Service Park in Lamia,
- and at selected EKO fuel stations along the rally route (a full list is available online).
The printed guide includes clear instructions and mobile navigation options, while Motorsport Greece -the organising body under the Ministry of Sports- provides further updates regarding traffic regulations in rally areas.
The safety of all -competitors, spectators, and personnel- remains a non-negotiable priority for the EKO Acropolis Rally. Respect for the natural environment that hosts the event is also central to the organisational philosophy, implemented through concrete measures and cooperation with local authorities.
