SERVICE FLASH C

Date: 28/6/2025 Flash N°: 18

Service: C (Lamia)

#33 Elfyn EVANS / Scott MARTIN

“We manage to stay out of trouble. We are here with no big issues and that’s a good thing. Everytime you want as many points as you can get, but that means you are going to take more risks. We will see how it goes tomorrow.”

#69 Kalle ROVANPERÄ / Jonne HALTTUNEN

“I don’t know exactly what happened. But it seems I braked very hard and late in some place, and at the same time something broke in the differential. Because after we continued from there, we didn’t hit anything, and one of the axles broke. I don’t know at which point the differential broke, but we couldn’t fix it and continue. It’s going to be super tough for us, and the only chance I think we have is at the Power Stage.”

#17 Sébastien OGIER / Vincent LANDAIS

“It was very unfortunate for our team to lose two cars in the same stage. But it doesn’t change our approach. I think we had a solid day. There is not much we could do. When the gap is so big, it could be stupid to take risks for a couple of seconds. It’s being a controlled loop in the afternoon. Tomorrow there are still a lot of kilometers and we expect the stages to be rough on the second pass.”

#8 Ott TÄNAK / Martin JÄRVEOJA

“Generally, we had a good day. The afternoon as well. The conditions were better than I expected. We were driving in our rhythm. We have proper stages for tomorrow and it will be a demanding day.”

#1 Thierry NEUVILLE / Martijn WYDAEGHE

“We were hoping for a little bit more rain in the afternoon, and so there would be a possibility for us to do a good move and get a few more positions, but unfortunately not. Clean, smooth run, the tyres were quite dead at the end of the loop, but I think we managed to do better. The rhythm is there, we were slowed down by a tyre problem. We pushed a little bit more today, we wanted to keep the pressure and wanted to be as close as possible. We have to go and catch some extra points tomorrow and see what’s possible. Tomorrow there will be massive amount of cleaning, but it’s super super rough in Tarzan, it will be a proper challenge for the cars and the tyres.”

#16 Adrien FOURMAUX / Alexandre CORIA

“It’s being a difficult afternoon. I didn’t enjoy the first stage of the loop. The road was destroyed and it was very easy to get a puncture. It was a challenge for us to manage our tyres package.”

#13 Grégoire MUNSTER / Louis LOUKA

“We knew straight away that the handbrake wasn’t working and we tried to overcome it. We also had a problem with the steering rack and we had to nurse the car. We just wanted to get through the stage. And now ahead of us is the longest Super Sunday of the season.”

#55 Joshua MCERLEAN / Eoin TREACY

“Immediately from the first corner the handbrake didn’t work. From there on we couldn’t use it. But we survived. It's frustrating. From this morning we had a broken driveshaft, the guys did a great job to fix it. They changed the rear differential just for precaution. We have to reset and get ready to go.”

#22 Mārtiņš SESKS / Renārs FRANCIS

“It wasn’t an easy ride, but we survived the day. Now is the most important part. Not so many positives, not so many negatives either. It was a day in the office. Hopefully it should be a little bit better tomorrow. Let’s see how it works.”
