The EKO Acropolis Rally was named Best Sports Event of the Year in Greece for the second consecutive year, at the prestigious Boussias Sports Marketing Awards in Athens.
The 2022 event, highlighted by the super special stage at the packed Athens Olympic Stadium, claimed the top accolade at the Sports Marketing Awards, just as it did a year earlier.
Furthermore, the EKO Acropolis Rally stood out in “Green Brand Awards”, which are oriented towards green development and environmental protection. The specific awards are the recognition of important achievements, with the EKO Rally Acropolis, which last autumn received from the FIA the “Three Stars” environmental certification, awarded with “Gold” in the Green Sports category, as an international example of an environmentally sustainable motorsport event.
In total, two more awards were added to the event's trophy case; “Gold” as the best Motorsports event, as well a “Silver” in the Best Sports Content category, for the podcast series “Acropolis Rally Stories, pressented by Betsson” hosted last summer on the platform pod.gr.
