Distance: 16.61 km
Weather: Sunny, 30°C
Road conditions: Rough, loose gravel
#33 Elfyn EVANS - Scott MARTIN
“The stage is already rough in places.”
#18 Takamoto KATSUTA - Aaron JOHNSTON
“I was very careful, but everything is OK. I still try to avoid problems. The second pass will be bad.”
#99 Oliver SOLBERG - Elliott EDMONDSON
“It should be quicker. It was very slippery. I tried my best, but this is how it is.”
#5 Sami PAJARI - Marko SALMINEN
“I am trying to push. The target and the plan is really straightforward today.”
#1 Sébastien OGIER - Vincent LANDAIS
“It’s very close. It can be like this to the end. We try to drive fast. I was not full on it, but it’s OK.”
#16 Adrien FOURMAUX - Alexandre CORIA
“I had no impact. I am very tired with these tyres.” Front left puncture
#11 Thierry NEUVILLE - Martijn WYDAEGHE
“It was a good stage. But we still fight the rear in the sandy places. We have to keep the rhythm. There will be more grip in the second pass.”
#95 Jon ARMSTRONG - Shane BYRNE
“It will be interesting in the second pass. Quite loose and in some corners you can’t keep the rear. We try our best.”
#6 Daniel SORDO - Cándido CARRERA
“It is so difficult. It’s very slippery. The previous stage was too bad for us. With the two spare tyres the car was sliding a lot. The balance was not good.”
#55 Joshua MCERLEAN - Eoin TREACY
“It’s difficult to manage. You try to push, but you see the rocks and you back off.”
#22 Mārtiņš SESKS - Renārs FRANCIS
“It’s already very rocky. We took it steady. We didn’t find a good rhythm. It’s difficult with all the stones on the road.”
#9 Jourdan SERDERIDIS - Frédéric MICLOTTE
“There are a lot of stones in the middle of the stage. This stage has so much cleaning.”
