Flash N°: 16
Special stage: 12 (Eleftherohori 2)
Distance: 18.14 km
Road conditions: Smooth gravel, mud in places
1 SEBASTIEN OGIER/JULIEN INGRASSIA
“He needed to push [Tanak]. The afternoon was good for us and we have a good rhythm. So far so good”.
33 ELFYN EVANS/SCOTT MARTIN
“It was quite tricky in places. It’s polished in some places and I lost the rear, but it’s OK”.
11 THIERRY NEUVILLE/MARTIJN WYDAEGHE
“I had a good stage. With the road position we have, it’s difficult to do more. I am happy with my drive”.
69 KALLE ROVANPERÄ/JONNE HALTTUNEN
“I am quite happy. We changed something for the afternoon to protect the car, but we lost traction. It was not easy, but OK. It was a very good day”.
8 OTT TÄNAK/MARTIN JÄRVEOJA
"I managed to do some changes which finally helped. I felt the car a bit more playful now and the tyre choice was good".
44 GUS GREENSMITH/CHRIS PATTERSON
“I couldn’t find the rhythm in this one. Even after the changes we made”.
6 DANI SORDO/CANDIDO CARRERA
“I don’t know. We made some changes to the car, but I don’t think they are working. I am not pushing so hard”.
16 ADRIEN FOURMAUX/RENAUD JAMOUL
“No issues. We had a clean stage. Not perfect in this one, but we gain experience in this event. Not a bad day. Tomorrow it’s a new challenge”.
7 PIERRE-LOUIS LOUBET/FLORIAN HAUT-LABOURDETTE
“Yes, we stalled. We lost time. It’s a bit tricky this one”. He stalled in one corner before the finish.
9 JOURDAN SERDERIDIS/FREDERIC MICLOTTE
“It was so fun. Conditions are quite dry, so we had maximum fun. Too much people in the stages! Greeks love rallying!”
Finally Ott Tanak managed to find some settings that helped him and gave him confidence with the Hyundai i20 WRC. He won his first stage for the day and so he extended his lead from Sebastien Ogier to 10.4 seconds. Kalle Rovanpera is the Rally leader for Day 3, while Tanak is 30.8 seconds behind.
