Kostas Stefanis

He may be considered as the record Greek co-driver of the Acropolis Rally. After having set some fastest times next to “Iaveris”, they were first among Greek crews in 1979, when they finished 5th overall in a Ford Escort. He was also first among Greeks in 1983, having co-driven Andreas Papatriantafyllou in a Toyota Corolla KE35. In the years 1988-1992 he was the permanent Greek winner, when he was the co-driver of “Jiger”, in both Lancia Delta’s and Toyota Celica, while he was the winner of the Acropolis Rally in 1995, when the rally wasn’t a part of the WRC, alongside Aris Vovos, in a Lancia Deltona.
